So disappointing to see bootlicking women writing paragraphs defending men and often shitting on women, in response to posts related to radical feminism. “I love men!” “Women/society are horrible to men!” “We don’t deserve men!” Girl, you think a man would stand up in a room full of misogynistic men and wax poetic about how they’re horrible to women, and women are actually incredible? Even in an online space, you’d be hard pressed to find a single man writing a fucking novel standing up for women in response to a thread of misogynistic comments. Even the nicest ones in your life won’t stand up for women, because when other men are openly misogynistic, the nice ones are twiddling their thumbs while thinking of how nice they are, but they suddenly find their voice when women complain about misogyny. Wake up.

All TERF's and Gender Criticals are literally ideologically aligned with white supremacist fascist trolls. Caelan Conrad is amazing and does such good work. Please watch this.

A lot of people sure love to pretend it’s feminist to tell women how to dress or present aesthetically

whoever pioneered "it's misogynistic and antifeminist to discuss how women inflict misogyny on other women" is one of my mortal enemies. literally insane I mean neurodivergent mindset to have. same with the idea that mothers can't encourage a misogynistic mindset in their kids when internalized misogyny spawns boymoms
#'oh so you're blaming women for misogyny?' <- hugest idiot on earth#what is it w this idea that you can't possibly internalize bigotry even if it's against yourself

The world isn’t ready for my alpha kid readings.
#jane crocker#jake english#roxy lalonde#dirk strider#homestuck#alpha kids#Jane is the struggler don’t you EVER contest that#many might argue it’s Jake but he doesn’t struggle inherently#usually he just vibes until he’s forced into situations wherein he struggles#Jane struggles from the beginning#her entire arc is a struggle#also had to change it from “the fujoshi” mostly cause I don’t like that and also cause it’s not as versatile as the other labels#I don’t actually think Dirk is boring btw i just think that when put up against his friends he has a lot less complexity going on#like his arc is fairly simple as opposed to Jane and Jake’s#and even Roxy’s#His problems seem inherently a lot more straight forward to me simply because he’s articulate enough to realize he has problems#Jane and Jake are almost there#problems are like on the tip of their tongues#and Roxy is kinda like the John of the team where she isn’t even gonna acknowledge the possibility of problems#girl is like “problems? haha not me#I’m the put together one in this group :)”#and just ignores all her internalized misogyny and heteronormativity#she is a mirror to Vriska in that they both put a lot of emphasis on preforming romanticism as a means of affirming their gender#anyway my alpha kid readings are way too boring so I feel like nobody would really be interested in them Sighhhh

I wore a dress recently (rare occurrence for me) and one of my friends was like, “Honey you look great but would you like some tips on shaving your legs?” And I explained to her that I don’t really like shaving my legs so I just don’t do it. And she asked if that’s why I usually wear pants and I said no I wear whatever is comfortable to me, shaved legs or not. And it was like I literally blew her mind.
This is what I mean when I say you should have empathy for women with internalized misogyny. I don’t mean having empathy for women who are abusive to you for being a woman. I mean empathy for women who genuinely don’t know that what they’re saying is sexist. I don’t think my friend even knew it was sexist of her to say that at all, she probably just thought it was a little rude (sometimes, when you’re close with someone, it’s okay to be a little rude because you know you love each other). These ideas were not things she had previously been exposed to at all. Instead of telling her to kill herself for having internalized misogyny, WHICH ALL WOMEN HAVE, I introduced her to feminist ideas. And you know what? I’ve noticed she stopped shaving her arm pits recently. And she hasn’t said anything about my legs again. 🤷♀️

I like watching Drew Afualo's tiktoks and listening to her podcast for laughs, but sometimes her libfem bullshit is just too much. Multiple times she's shat on women who criticise those long-ass acrylic nails she loves wearing, and her reasoning is that they're jealous because they could never handle wearing them, and most women could “ get used to” wearing them if they “practise”. No thanks, I shouldn’t have to re-learn how to wipe my ass and type on a keyboard for a dumb beauty trend. In one of her latest podcast episodes she talked about how she was a pick-me when she was a teenager because...uh....she liked playing sports and didn't like wearing makeup or long acrylic nails. That's it. She didn't mention shit-talking other women or defending misogynists or anything like that, in fact, she said she actively stood up against males and fought back against misogyny even when she was in her "pick me" phase, but apparently not wanting to slather makeup on her face made her a pick me. She also uses the word b*tch in every other sentence and bragged about how it doesn't offend her, like congrats

honestly i wish the only way for magical girls to get respect wasn't for them to be as close to shonen as possible.
"unlike other magical girls, precure has hand to hand combat! its dbz for girls!"
"i know princess tutu's name is stupid but its actually not girly at all!"
"sailor moon isn't ACTUALLY for little girls because [insert scene of characters suffering or creepy stuff from the manga here]"
"madoka is better than other magical girls because its DARK"
like do magical girls really needs to be dbz but girly to be worthy of respect? can't they just be... magical girl shows? a show can be unapologetically girly and aimed at girls and still be worth checking out. yes, princess tutu is girly. yes, sailor moon is girly. yes, precure is girly. yes, madoka, despite being a seinen and darker, ultimately upholds the messages of the genre. and they're all awesome and deserve respect on their own merits, not as a comparison to popular shonen shows.
#i used to be one of those “princess tutu is actually awesome despite its stupid name” people#thank god i shed my internalized misogyny#like every time a precure tweet goes viral on twitter its one of those fight scenes#i'm sorry if you get into precure thinking its dbz but for girls you're gonna be disappointed#precure doesn't always have amazing fight scenes! and that's okay! it doesn't need to be like dbz to be worthy of respect#sailor moon#precure#princess tutu#puella magi madoka magica#ojamajo doremi#shugo chara#tokyo mew mew#rebecca talks

duke and cass' spars from the outside must look soooo weird, no one has landed a single hit for hours it looks staged, they might as well be in the matrix

#duke thomas#cassandra cain#batfam#bumblebee bats#duke's internal monologue sounds like it came from death note with the misogyny squeezed out#there's a moment where theyre literally just staring each other down correcting for their predictions in real time#you know that one oda fight in bungou stray dogs where he and that german guy just kinda stare at each other and then someone gets shot? ye#who is doing it like them? ill wait

Mel Merdada, they could never make me hate you just because of some perceived notion that you're only an "obstacle" in the way of their M/M ship, an idea [the perception, not the ship] in which is molded by unchecked beliefs of misogyny (and misogynoir in certain cases) that female characters often face when it comes to fans M/M ships, even though you're more than that and certain fans can't handle that.
Sidenote: there's a way that you can enjoy JayVik without erasing or dismissing Mel's importance in Jay's life or demonizing her like it's possible, just look at me (my page) as a case in point.
#mel medarda#arcane#anyway MEL IS ALIVE#jayvik#meljay#meljayvik#(like they could be a throuple too like didn't mel reach for vik & say “he'll come back to US”? hmmm)#like theres a way to ship an m/m ship without demonizing a female character and painting her as worse than what she actually is#it's literally misogyny fueling this rhetoric and considering that many m/m shippers tend to be/identify as women internalized misogyny#has entered the chat

y’all we r not beating exorsexism and misogyny by calling every transmasc that pisses u off a ‘theyfab.’ Idc if they are annoying or have dumbass opinions, literally using someone’s agab as an insult is wrong and treating transmascs as annoying little afabs is deeply misogynistic and transphobic. What happened to just calling people fucking idiots
#trans ppl sound off in the replies I want to hear ur opinions on this respectfully bc like idk it makes me feel crazy#it just makes me rlly deeply uncomfortable to see ppl who generally have fine takes do this shit like cmon y’all we can be better#all saying it tells me is that ur just treating all the transmascs u DO like as exceptions to the rule#idc if ur arguing w the most annoying deeply stupid transmasc in the world it’s not their identity that makes them annoying or stupid lol#using someone’s agab derogatorily is so fucking stupid it’s ltrlly just one step away from calling them pussy boys or annoying women idfk#.txt#what’s crazy is the most egregious example I saw was some1 literally complaining about exorsexism. by blaming it on afabs. then posting lik#‘when theyfabs walk in the room’ to some ‘eeew it stinks in here’ audio on TikTok. saying they had stinky pussies. they were literally afab#hello??? the internalized misogyny is fucking CRAZYYYYY literally yall just regurgitate shit I’ve already heard from cishet men but act lik#it’s ok cause it’s directed at ‘theyfabs’ instead of women. Ok

I recently came across a TikTok from a young woman whose entire profile seems dedicated to advising women on how to mold themselves so that average men will choose them. The premise of her video was that if you are “not like the other girls” (whom she referred to as “h*es”) and instead present yourself as classy and set apart, then the same men who lack sexual discipline and sleep around with the women she was demonizing would choose you over them in the long term. It’s astonishing that in 2024, some of us are still performing purity and chastity not for ourselves, but to be selected by men who are, frankly, undeserving. It’s disheartening to see how deeply ingrained this mindset is in women, where they have no qualms about tearing down other women if it means gaining access to men who aren’t held to even a fraction of the same standards.
Let me be clear: if I’m putting in the work to gain sexual discipline and save my body for the right person, no amount of desperation will ever get me to perform to a group of lustful and promiscuous men for their attention or romance. It goes both ways, as simple as that.
I don’t and have never condoned hookup culture. I believe celibacy is powerful and necessary; your body is a temple best reserved for a man who truly loves, protects, and cares for you. However, this belief doesn’t give me the right to tear down women who choose to engage in promiscuous behavior, nor should it be used as a way to appeal to men who partake in the same behavior, just to be “chosen” by them.
Internalized misogyny is a disease, and I hope that those struggling with it can find freedom and make peace with themselves and their fellow women.

Someone made a really well written post on chilchuck and misogyny, but its not able to be rbed so im just sharing my analysis of it here. Bc i love this topic. I love it so much.
#I sort of touched on this in one of my comics#The one where he gets weird about Bea saying she should start working instead of him#He means well but because he still does have this internal idea of woman#He ends up hurting her and his marriage#dungeon meshi#chilchuck#Dont even get me started on Marcille’s (internalized and not so internalized) racism and internalized misogyny#Or Laios and Falins whole prejudice against Other tallmen#Or Shuro’s own reductive view of women#Or Namari’s occasional bigotry towards half-foots#Or how Kabru talks down to fellow Tallmen and thinks of Kobolds as less human than other races#Or everything about Mickbell#Etc#All the characters are very human in ways that can be sort of uncomfortable#I think the most realistic part of me is that none of them mean any harm
